Sen. Harry Reid to Swear in Former U.S. Congressman James H. Bilbray to Serve on U.S. Postal Service Board of Governors

James H. Bilbray will be sworn in by Sen. Harry Reid to serve on the nine-person Board of Governors of the U.S. Postal service during an afternoon ceremony on Monday, August 21, at the post office in downtown Las Vegas. This event follows Bilbray’s confirmation by the U.S. Senate on August 3 and by President George W. Bush on August 17. Sen. Harry Reid had recommended Bilbray to President Bush for consideration to the board. Bilbray will complete the term of an outgoing USPS governor that expires December 8, 2006. He will then participate in a full Senate confirmation hearing to serve a full-term appointment hat expires December 8, 2015. Bilbray is of counsel to the statewide law firm of Kummer Kaempfer Bonner Renshaw & Ferrario.
